MRS. GRADIE JONES WHITMORE



Funeral services for Mrs. Gradie Jones Whitmore will be held on Wednesday,

November 11, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church.  Burial will be

in Lincoln Cemetery.  Mrs. Whitmore was born on November 15, 1902 in

Minden, LA to the late Reverend Walter J. Jones and Estelle Young Jones.

She departed this life on November 5, 1998 in Newport News, VA.  Mrs.

Whitmore was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Thirkeld

Whitmore.  She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Ernie Frazier

Vaughan of Shreveport, LA, and Sharon Whitmore Bobo and son-in-law Wilton

Bobo of Yorktown, VA; granddaughters, Traci Camille Drummond of Temple

Hills, MD and Candice Marie Drummond of Marlton, NJ and one sister, Mrs.

Beatrice Jones of Dallas, TX; one brother-in-law, Henry Simmons of San

Francisco, CA and her church family and friends.
