Interment will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of John Kramer & Son. Mr. Monroe 78, of Shreveport, died Tuesday, dec 26, 1995 in Overton Brooks V.A. Medical Center - Shreveport. Mr. Monroe was a veteran of World War II. He was past Master of W.H. Booth Lodge #380, Shreveport and was a member of El Karubah Shrine. Survivors include wife, Ruby T. Monroe of Shreveport; son Donald Monroe; his daughter-in-law, Sue Monroe and grandson, Michael Monroe all of Brighton, Mich.; sister Elaine Byrd of Shreveport; brother cecil Monroe of Livingston. Friends are asked to call from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday in the funeral home. The family has requested memorials be sent to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71103 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
