C. Worley, local physician who died suddenly early Thursday morning, will be held at 10 a.m. today at the First Baptist church conducted by the Rev. M. E. Dodd. The Rev. J. M. Frazier, pastor of the Connell Memorial Baptist church of Fort Worth, Texas, will assist. Interment will be in the Forest Park cemetery under direction of McCook Brothers Funeral home. Doctor Worley was born in Blackburn, La., November 17, 1873. He moved to Shreveport about 10 years ago following a 25 year residence in Gilliam, where he practiced medicine. He retired soon after moving here. Widely known in Shreveport and north Louisiana, Doctor Worley was a Mason and a member of the El Karubsh Shrine. Active pallbearers for the funeral today will be: W. E. Adgar (sp?), O. W. Lewis, Dr. J. D. Woolworth, W. R. Cavett, Ben Coleman and W. H. Bankston. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. I. Henry Smith, D. F. Hamilton, Dr. J. R. Heard (sp?), Dr. Barron Johns, Dr. Ruffin (Unreadable), Dr. E. L. Sanderson, Dr. H. G. F. Edwards, Dr. George B Dickson, Dr. W. B. Heidorn (sp?), Dr. H. T. Best, Dr. H. L. Crow, Dr. O. C. Bigby, Dr. Paul D. Abramson, Jon Hunsicker, M. D. Barber, Paul M. Brown, Ruvian Hendrick, Ed Percy, J. N. Shaver, R. T. Douglas, J. W. Lynn, W. B. Bridges, G. W. McNeas, Sheriff T. R. Hughes, Fire Chief F. J. Flores and J. D. McCrary, all members of the Shreveport Medical and Dental societies and Masonic bodies. Surviving the deceased are the widow, Mrs. Connie L. Worley, four sons, Ross H. Worley, P. C. Worley, Dale Worley, and Dr. W. B. Worley, superintendent of the child welfare department of the Louisiana Fair, all of Shreveport; three brothers, Dr. A. G. Worley of Haynesville, La., T. B. Worley of Snyder, Texas, and W. W. Worley of Hosston, La., and three sisters, Mrs. George Adams of Hosston, La., Mrs. M. B. Crow of Dalton, Texas, and Mrs. Annie Crow of Haynesville, La.
