All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ In the presence of close friends and relatives Carolyn Faye Rochelle daughter of Mrs. Bessie Mae Rochelle of Vivian, became the bride of Sylvester Johnson Jr., sone of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Johnson of Gallivantes Ferry, South Carolina. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's mother Saturday, March 6, at severn o'clock in the evening with the Rev. C. L. Lang officiating. Bridal wreath and yellow daffodils were used as floral decoration throughout the house. Nuptial music including "I Love You Truly" was played softly during the ceremony. The bride wore a lovely aqua blue dress with pearl and rhinestone trim. Her accessories were of pink and she wore a corsage of pink carnations.. Miss Merle Ann Rochelle served as maid of honor and only attendant. She wore a dress of navy blue and white, trimmed with rhinestones. Her accessories were of red and her corsage was of red carnations. Kenneth Russell Reneau served the groom as best man. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held with Mrs. C. R. Briery, Mrs. C. A. Briery and Mrs. Frank Rochelle assisting in the courtesies. After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs Johnson will be at home in Shreveport Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Barrett of Carthage, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rochelle of Mooringsport, Pink Ritter of Lufkin, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Odell Rochell, Mr. and Mrs. N. I. Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Rochelle all of Shreveport.
