Jno. F. Miers, Beckenworth - Jno. F. Miers, a successful planter and stock
raiser, is a native of Calcasieu parish.  He received the benefit of a good
common education, and early in life embarked om farming and stock raising, and
has given to this business his undivided attentionthus far in life. 
That he has succeeded, is attested in the fact that his well stocked farm is one
of the best improved in his section, He is an active member of the Farmers'
Alliance.
Mr. Miers was married in 1883 to Miss Sophia Miers, and their union has resulted
in the birth of four children.
