Carroll, before Henry C. McCall, N. Orleans Parish, La. Affiant declares that he was acquainted for many years with the late Joseph C. Morris, who died on or about August 3, 1903, that said Joseph C. Morris has resided in the City of New Orleans, continuously to the day of his death since about 1850, that said Joseph C. Morris was married but once and that his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Beebe Morris, died on or about July 24, 1870. That affiant know from knowledge which he has of the affairs of said Joseph C. Morris during his lifetime and from the knowledge which he has gained of said affairs since his death that said Joseph C. Morris was same Joseph C. Morris who purchased from Alexander Thomson, to notarial act, befor A.M. Mayo, a Notary Public, in and for the Parish of Calcasieu, La., on March 15, 1894, certain lands in said Parish and in said act described and that said Joseph C. Morris was the same person who under name of J.C. Morris, sold to J.S. Thomson by act Dated Sept. 28, 1900, certain lands in said act described.
