A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, he moved to Lake Charles and in 1927, he was voted the best all round junior athlete in Calcasieu Parish. He eventually settled in Holmwood where he owned and operated Holmwood Grocery Store from 1929-1975. He was a member of the Calcasieu Cattlemen's Association, Amicus Club, and Lay Minister of St. John Marie Vianney Catholic Church. He was a Third Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, and a retired rice farmer. Survivors include his wife, Stephens F. "Nada" Natali ; two sons, Joseph Pete Natali and Stephen Charles "Steve" Natali, both of Holmwood; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Jean Broussard of Holmwood; one sister, Nell Palermo of Holmwood; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. After working as an accountant in Beaumont Texas, he was employed by Lee Oil Co. as secretary tc J.H. Phelan and then moved to Sulphur as assistant manager and then manager of Sulphur Motor Co.,, and later was in business with Ed Taussig. He established and was chairman of the board of'Carr Truck Service Southwest Construction Co., Sall Sales Service, Nelson Industrial Services Disposal Systems and Lake Well Service. He organized the West Calcasieu Chamber of Commerce and served as its president in 1947 and 1948; was a charter member of the High School Rodeo an#dserved as secretarytreasurer the first two years;, waosa 32nd Degree Mason and helped establised busline during World War 11 which had 30 buses transporting defense workers to.area plants and the shipyard in Orange, Texas; served as a member of the Draft Board; helped organize and construct Frasch golf Course; was a Rotarian for 30 years, serving as president in 194748; and was a member of Henning Memorial Methodist Church. A native of Spring Grove Plantation near Baines in West Feliciana Parish, he attended school at St. Francisville and LSU, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and the Daggers, and from which he was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Infantry Reserve, later serving on active duty in World War 11. He came to Lake Charles in 1936 and joined the Weber interest in 1946. He became president and CEO of Powell t Lumber Co. in 1951 and retired as president in 1988. The former chairman of the board of the Powell Group, he chaired the aviation and agriculture committees of the Lake Charles Association of Commerce, served on the boards for the Louisiana Forestry Association., the Greater Lake Charles Water Co., Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and the Lake Charles Chamber of Commerce. He was director of Pan Amer' ican Life Insurance for 25 years~ : His business interests included forestry, farming, rice milling, oil and gas exploration, waste rice hull to energy production and investments. His philanthropic endeavors included gifts to LSU and McNeeae in the name of his late son, Willis Noland. He was also a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
