OPHELIA CANNON Funeral services for Mrs. Opehelia Cannon, 92, of Route 6 were at 10 a.m. today, March 15, in Hixson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Sale Lilly, pastor of University United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery. Mrs. Cannon died at 6:20 a.m. Monday in a Lake Charles nursing home. She was a native of Opelousas and a long time resident of Lake Charles. She was a member of University United Methodist Church. Mrs. Cannon was the mother of the late Howard Cannon of Lake Charles. Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Cleve McGee and Mrs. Pearl Brodhead, (sic) both of Lake Charles, Mrs. Arnold Muller of New Orleans, Mrs. Wilda Shannon of Beaumont, Mrs. Edward L. McMullen of Houston and Mrs. Lee Heddel of Jennings, 15 grandchilcren and 22 great-grandchildren.
