CART of Lake Charles, who died yesterday at the age of 100 and leaves 150 descendants, were to be held at 2:30 pm today from the First Church of the Nazarene. He celebrated his 100th birthday on July 20 of this year. At that time he was honored then with a family reunion given at the Housiere Park in Jennings. He lived in Lake Charles for about 35 years. Mr. Cart was born in 1854 in St. Landry parish at the community now called Iota. However, at the time of his birth the community was named Cartville for his father His grandfather was Antoine Belisair Cart, who came from Morge, Switzerland, many years ago to Opelousas, where he taught school. He is survived by two sons. F.N. and R.E. Cart of Lake Charles; three daughters, Mrs. A. E. Milner of Lake Charles, Mrs. Charles Carter of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. L. Bernard of Iota; 44 grandchildren; 101 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
