The Revs. Jim Humphreys and Henry Bowden Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Creel Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bel. Visitation is 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. Sunday. Mrs. Cole died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, June 5, 1998, in a local hospital. A native of Fort Smith, Ark., she had lived in Lake Charles for the past 45 years. She was the first woman printer in the state of Louisiana and had worked for Alta Printing Company for 16 years. She was a member of St. Luke- Simpson United Methodist Church and had hosted a cooking show on KPLC-TV for a number of years. She was active in volunteer work and for years had crocheted for various childrenĄ¯s hospital, including M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Fred Escott of Yukon, Okla., and Harold Escott of Phoenix, Ariz; one daughter, Doris Trisler of Roland, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Marjorie Dickerson of Lake Charles; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to St. Luke-Simpson United Methodist Church, 1500 Country Club Road, Lake Charles, LA 70605, the family said.
