Gertrude Cole

DERIDDER ¨C Funeral services for Gertrude ¡°Gertie¡± Cole, 75, of Cole Central, 
will be at 4 p.m. today, July 17, in Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home.

The Revs. Roger Gill and Glen Ducharne will officiate.  Burial will be in Creel 
Cemetery in Bel.

Mrs. Cole died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 1999, in a Beaumont, Texas, 
hospital.

She was a native of Indian Village and had lived most of her life in Cole 
Central.  She was an assistant store manager in the DeRidder area and was a 
retired store manager for Allied Department Stores.  She was a member of Unity 
Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Roger W. Cole of Pitkin; one son, Ellis Cole of 
Pitkin; two daughters, Wanda Joy Fowler of Kilgore, Teas, and Eva Dale Dickens 
of Lufkin, Texas; two sisters, Elsie Reeves of Ragley and Jane Dove of Moore, 
Okla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
