Bobby Slaydon, pastor, officiating, assisted by Dr. L. A. Stagg, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Perkins' Cemetery under the direction of the Snider Funeral Home. The body will remain at the funeral home chapel until the time of service. Mr. Cooley died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday in a Lake Charles hospital after a brief illness. He was an employee of the State Highway Department. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church and a life-long resident of DeQuincy. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frankie Cooley, two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Theriot of DeQuincy and Mrs. Billie McBroom of West Lake; three brothers, Cruse, Curtis, and Kerney Cooley, all of DeQuincey, and four grandchildren.
