Freneau Allan "Al" Cron
 
Freneau Allan "Al" Cron, 92, of Houston, Texas, died at 10:57am Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, 
in his Lake Charles residence.
 
Mr. Cron was born in Keene, Texas, and served in the Army. He attended the University 
of Houston and the University of Oklahoma. He was self-employed for many years in the 
oil business.
 
He is survived by his stepson, Fred T. Smith and wife Patti of lake Charles; his 
stepdaughter, Gayle Smith Cline and husband George of Lake Charles; and a stepgrandson, 
Lance Wells of Anchorage, Alaska. He was also survived by numerous grandchildren, 
great-grandchildren and  great-greatgrandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gayle Cron.
 
Visitation is 4-6pm today in Johnson Funeral Home. Private gravesite services 
will be at 2 pm Sunday, Jan. 7, in Graceland Cemetery. Bishop Allen Celestine 
will officiate.
