WESTLAKE - George Ray Cupit, 73, died Thursday, June 13, 2002, in his residence.
He was a native of Winnsboro, and he had lived in Westlake for 40 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Zella Duhon Cupit of Westlake; one son, Larry Cupit of Lake Charles; one daughter, Sharon Kay Wilson of Winnsboro; one brother, Malcolm Cupit of Broussard; four grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. today, June 14, in Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. The Rev. Dennis Hawkins will officiate. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in Elton. Visitation is from 8 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Inc., the family said.
