Garrison (Lake Charles American Press 2/16/2002 ) WESTLAKE — Funeral services for Charles Jack Garrison, 76, will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, in First Baptist Church. The Rev. Larry Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lake Charles under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Visitation is 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m. today and 8-11 a.m. Sunday in the funeral home and from noon Sunday in the church. Mr. Garrison died at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, in Sulphur. He was a native of Dewey, Okla., and a longtime resident of Westlake. He served in the Navy in World War II. He retired from PPG as a powerhouse superintendent after more than 30 years. He was a Mason. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and he was a deacon. Survivors include two sons, Harry Dean Garrison of Leander, Texas, and the Rev. Charles Robert Garrison; one daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Lynda) Cureton of Westlake; two brothers, Edwin Eugene Garrison and Robert Wayne Garrison, both of Sulphur; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
