Daniel "Danny Joe" Goings, 67, of Moss Bluff died Saturday, 
June 14, 2008 in a local hospital. 

A longtime Moss Bluff resident, "Danny Joe" served his country 
in the US Navy. He retired from Olin / Lyondell after being a 
millwright a number of years. "Danny Joe" loved the outdoors and was 
an avid sportsman. 

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Goings and Theresa Barnett 
and their children, Kira Barnett - Goings and Jazira "Jaz" 
Barnett - Goings; son, Austin Goings; brother, Derrell Goings; 
sisters, Judy Bridges and Mary Rogers; brothers-in-law and wives,
Bobby and Velma Kennedy, Jimmy and Joyce Kennedy, Harvey Kennedy, 
Mack and Sarah Kennedy and Fred and Barbara Kennedy as well as 
numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, who were all loved. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Goings; daughters, 
Terrie Mraz and Tammy Goings. 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 21, 2008 in 
Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be in the funeral home on 
Saturday from noon until service time.
