Funeral services for Murphy Joseph Gothreaux, 80, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, 
May 10, from Christ the King Catholic Church.

The Rev. Mike Barras will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens 
under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. 
today, May 9 and from 8 a.m. Monday.

Mr. Gothreaux died at 5:25 p.m. Friday, May 7, 1993 in a local hospital.
A native of Rayne, he was a resident of Lake Charles most of his life and was 
a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He was retired from Texas Gas 
Transmission Corporation after 28 years.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Irene P.*(Prudhomme) Gothreaux; three sons, John 
Gothreaux and Harold Gothreaux, both of Lake Charles and Leland Gathreaux(sic) 
of Oceanside, Calif., one daughter, Vella (Bea) Beasley of Deer Park, Texas; 
one brother, Myrle Gothreaux of Sweetlake; 10 grandchildren & six great-
grandchildren.
