John W. Grimball

John Wesley Grimball, Jr., 90, passed away Monday, April 2, 2007, in a local 
hospital.

He retired from Cities Service and was Machine Supervisor/Data Processing. He 
was also Treasurer/Manager of CSE Credit Union at the time of his retirement. 
He was a WWII veteran, having served in the occupation forces for Japan at the 
end of the war.

Survivors include four sons, Terrance Grimball and wife Mary of Sulphur, Dr. 
Roger Grimball and wife Deborah of Sulphur, Wayne Grimball and wife Frances of 
Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and John Grimball III and wife Lorise of Austin, Texas; 
fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Iris Grimball; his parents, John and 
Effie Grimball; three sisters, Della Fontenot, Florence Castette and Villa 
West; and three brothers, Leonard Grimball, Floyd Grimball and Frank Grimball.
 
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial 
Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery of Carlyss. Visitation 
is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
