Irene O. Miller Hazel
  Irene O. Miller Hazel, 88, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, in her 
residence. 
  Mrs. Hazel was a native of Jeanerette and had lived most of her life in Lake 
Charles. She was a graduate of Lake Charles High School. She was a member of 
University United Methodist Church. 
  She is survived by her loving husband, William "Bill" Hazel of Lake Charles; 
one son, Charles Miller of Tallahassee, Fla.; three daughters, Greta Gene 
Miller and Dianne Hazel, both of Lake Charles, and Linda Herforth of Merced, 
Calif.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lillian 
Carr of Sulphur. 
  Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, in Johnson Funeral Home. The 
Rev. Michael McLaurin will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. 
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. Saturday.
