ANNIE JACKSON VINTON (Spl.) -- Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Sonnier Jackson, 63, of Vinton were to be held at 10 a.m. today at the Hixson funeral home in Sulphur with Rev. Melvin Dowers, pastor of the Assembly of God church of Toomey officiating. Burial was to be in Toomey cemetery. Mrs. Jackson died at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lutcher Ann hospital in Orange, Tex. after a lengthy illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Vinton. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Toomey. Survivors include her husband, Sam Jackson, Sr. of Toomey; two sons, Sam Jackson Jr. and Edward Lee Jackson, both of Vinton; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Kidd of New Caney, Tex. and one brother, Johnson Sonnier of Vinton. Additional Comments: Annie Sonnier was the daughter of Joseph Sonnier and Azema Cormier. Joseph Sonnier was the son of Savenia Sonnier and Marguerite Anunciad Sonnier. Azema Cormier was the daughter of John L. Cormier and Mary Berry. All of the above were residents of Toomey, LA once known as Jacksonville, LA.
