Thursday at Burke Funeral Home here. Rec. Carl Leud, pastor of the First MEthodist Church, of which Mr. Kennedy was a me,ber, will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery where Masonic graveside services will be conducted. Mr. Kennedy was born in Topeka, Kansas, but came here 58 years ago with his father, the late L.W. Kenendy, who built the Watkins railway, now a part of the Missouri Pacific lines. He was a retired Missouri Pacific conductor for the railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway conductors and Lake Charles Masonic Lodge 165. Survivors include his wife, Maude; one son C.L. Kennedy; one daughter, Mrs. A.W. Couvillion; one sister, Mrs. Inez Knapp, all of Lake Charles; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be members of his lodge and members of the Brotherhood or Railway Conductors will be honorary pallbearers. Additional Comments: He was a conductor on this railway for 53 years. His grandchildren recall riding the train with grandpa.
