Mrs. E.J. Koonce of Sulphur Dies

Sulphur, La., June 5 – Mrs. Eunice Koonce, 69, long time residence to 
Sulphur, died at St. Patrick’s hospital in Lake Charles this morning at 
11:10. She is the wife of E.J. Koonce of Sulphur.
Mrs. Koonce had been active in the work of the Methodist Church here and 
at one time served as its Sunday school superintendent.
Surviving besides here husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Dan Webb of 
Galveston; two sisters, Mrs. J.J. Koonce, Sulphur, and Mrs. W. M. Crips, 
Corpus Christi; two brothers P.A. Smith, Elizabeth, and L. Smith, 
Merryville. A son J.H. Koonce, died four years ago.
Services will be held in the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 4 
o’clock. The Hixson funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
