SULPHUR -- Funeral  services for Sam Lamartina, 86, will be at 3 p.m. today, 
March 1, in Sulphur  Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10 
a.m. Tuesday in  Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Pineville. The Rev. Nick 
Abraham will officiate.  Visitation is from 8:30 a.m.

Mr. Lamartina  died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, in Sulphur. A native of 
Alexandria, he was a  resident of the Lake Area for most of his life. He was a retired 
master sergeant  with the Air Force and served with the National Guard and 
the Army as a chief  warrant officer.

Survivors include his  wife, Evelyn Nassar Lamartina of Sulphur; and one son, 
Larry J. Lamartina of  Lake Charles.
