Joseph Lovett Sr., 71, of 2805 Cline St. died Sunday night *(9 Jan 1977) in  
his residence. 
 
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan 11, in Moss Bluff  
Pentecostal Church.
 
The Rev. Steve McMullin, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Bird  Nest 
Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home.
 
He was a lifelong Lake Charles resident and a retired truck driver for  
Teamsters Local No 969.
 
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Lovett; one daughter, Mrs. Lottie  
Peloquin of Moss Bluff; one son, Joseph Lovett Jr., of Lake Charles; three  brothers, 
Doc Lovett of West Lake. Henry Lovett of Lake Charles and James Lovett  of 
Singer; one sister, Mrs. Martha Thomas of Lake Charles, 14 grandchildren and  
five great-grandchildren.
