The Rev. Lewis Eiselstein will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 8 a.m. today. Mr. Meaux died at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, in a local hospital. He was a native of Kaplan and had lived in Lake Charles for the past 55 years. He was a 22-year veteran of the U.S. Army, retiring as a first sergeant. He served in the Korean Conflict and in Vietnam. He was a mechanic for the Department of Transportation and Development for 10 years. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Trouard Meaux of Lake Charles; one son, Tony Meaux of Lake Charles; two daughters, Ingrid Gott of Lacassine and Tina Courville of Lake Charles; two sisters, Velta Myers and Allie Mae Demeritt, both of Lake Charles; and eight grandchildren.
