W. Murrell SULPHUR-Joseph Walter Murrell, 86, of 2425 Broussard Road died at 2:05 a.m. today, Jan. 10, In West Calcasieu-Cameron Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, from Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Garden of Memories under direction of Hixson Funeral Home here. Mr. Murrell was a native of Church Point and had lived here 37 years. He was a crossings guard at W. T. Henning Elementary School. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emelia Benoit Murrell; six sons, Wayne Murrell of Winnie, Texas, Calvin, George and Jimmy Murrell, all of Sulphur, Raymond Murrell of Avon, Miss., and Billy Murrell of West Lake; seven dughters, Mrs. J. A. Leger of Sunset, Mrs. Phillip Nassar, Mrs. Floyd Trahan, Mrs. Arvel Trahan Jr., Mrs. Clifford Helmer, and Mrs. William Johnson, all of Sujphur, and Mrs. Sanders LaBove of Sweetlake; one sister, Mrs. George West of Houma; 43 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
