Obituary: Mrs. Opal Esther Prather

MRS. OPAL E. PRATHER

Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Esther Prather, 79, will be at 1:30 p.m.
today, Sept. 4, in Johnson Funeral Home.
The Rev. Ray Bourque will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland
Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. today.
Mrs. Prather died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1991 in a local
hospital.
A native of Oakdale, she had lived in Lake Charles since 1947 and was a
member of First Baptist Church in Moss Bluff.
Survivors are four daughters, Connie Carpenter and Sherry Williams, both
of Moss Bluff, and Billie Smith and Joan Thompson, both of Westlake; two
sons, the Rev. Joe Prather of Prairieville and John Herbert Prather of
Lake Charles; one brother, Wallace Creel of Oakdale; 19 grandchildren;
and 20 great-grandchildren.
