Prudhomme, State Highway Employe, Dies Hammy Prudhomme, 62, resident of Lake Charles for the past 25 years, died at 4 p.m. Wednesday *(8 Dec 1954) in Opelousas following a heart attack. Mr. Prudhomme, a truck driver for the state highway department, had been ill for a year. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Margaret's Catholic church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden cemetery under the direction of Burke's funeral home. The body is at Burke's where Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock tonight. Survivors include his wife; (Tholise Broussard Prudhomme); two sons, Wilson and Rivers Prudhomme, both of Houston, Tex., five daughters, Mrs. Murphy Gauthreaux of Thornwell, Mrs. Bill Smith of San Angelo, Tex., and Mrs. Dallas Landry, Mrs. Henry Lee Chapman and Miss Cecile Prudhomme, all of Lake Charles; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Mona David of Opelousas, and one brother, Edless Prudhomme of Opelousas.
