All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ Lake Charles American Press Date: Friday, January 12, 1996 Page: A2 John Michael Rhodriguez PORT ARTHUR, Texas Memorial services for John Michael Rhodriguez, 50, son of Natsy and Rod Rhodriguez of Lake Arthur, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, in the Light house Restaurant on Pleasure Island. The Revs. Walter Montadon and Charles J. DuBois will officiate. Arrangements are by Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Mr. Rhodriguez, with two others, was lost at sea on a fishing trip on July 29, 1995. A native of Jennings, he graduated from Lamar University and served six years in the Coast Guard Reserve. He was employed by Petrecon Engineers as a senior pipe designer at Star Refineries. A member of Pipefitters Local 195, he taught classes at the Apprentice School and had extensive experience in nuclear powerhouse construction. Other survivors are one son, John Bennett of Beaumont, Texas; one sister, Flo Housewright of Ardmore, Okla; and one grandchild.
