RHODRIGUEZ TAKEN BY DEATH Member of Pioneer Family of Calcasieu Dies Mrs. Ignace Rhodriguez, 84, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank A. Smith, at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday after an illness of about four weeks. Mrs. Rhodriguez was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francois Hebert, pioneer settlers of Old Imperial Calcasieu, and had spent her entire life in this parish. She was a lifelong member of the Altar Society. She was active in church work when her heath permitted. Survivors are one son, B. F. Rhodriguez of Lake Charles, four daughters, Mr. H. C. Havens of DeQuincy; Mrs. Adam Buller of Iowa, La.; Mrs. Frank J. Hixon of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Frank A. Smith of Lake Charles; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. J. A. Hagan of DeQuincy. Mr. Rhodriguez died nine years ago. Of the grandchildren, two are in the service, Fred T. Smith, USN and Harold Rhodriguez who is in the Coast Guard. The body will lie at the Rhodriguez family home, 501 Lawrence Street, until time for the funeral services Thursday aftrnoon at 4:30 o'clock, which will be held at the Landry Memorial school with Monsignor Louis H. Boudreau officiating. Burial will be at Graceland cemetery with the Burke funeral home in charge. Pallbearers will be Bryant Horne, Henry Buller, Harold Rhodriguez, Fred T. Smith, Lennox Brown and Donald Hagan.
