SULPHUR - Funeral services for Sim B. Scribner, 58, of 133 Roberta Drive, were 
to be at 2 p.m. today in the Riser Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia. Burial was 
to be in Old Union Cemetery near Columbia. Mr. Scribner died of a heart attack 
at 6:45 p.m. Sunday while attending a family reunion near his other home in 
Columbia. He was an employee in the maintenance department of Cities Service 
Oil Co. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Thelma Dunn Scribner of Sulphur; two 
stepdaughters, Mrs. Bonnie Rae Baier of Sulphur and Mrs. Murl Yvonne Hawthorne 
of Dothan, Ala.; two brothers, Blue Scribner of Magnet, Tex.; and Jess Wash 
Scribner of Wharton, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Mielsch of Bay City, Tex.; 
and Mrs. Ruth Morgan of Rosenberg, Tex.
