Skrine Funeral services for Lawrence F. ¡°Larry¡± Skrine, 54, of 4124 Centre St. will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22, in Hixson Funeral Home. Dr. George Pearce, pastor of First United Methodist Chruch, will officate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley. Mr. Skrine died at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Chicago, Ill., and had lived here for 13 years. Mr. Skrine was employed five years at McNeese State University as assistant film librarian and at the time of his death, was embployed as media specialist at the Calcasieu Parish School Board. He was a 22-year-veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during World War II. He was very active in the Boy Scouts in this area and was a member of Centennial Masonic Lodge of Omaha, Neb. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Darlyne Craft Skrine; one son, Darrel L. Skrine, and two daughters, Kristina Lynn and Diane Rene Skrine, all of Lake Charles; and his mother, Mrs. Ruth Skrine of Mount Prospect, Ill. Also, two brothers, Edward O. Skrine of Godfrey, Ill., and Richard C. Skrine of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Burt Bradshaw of Streamwood, Ill., and Mrs. William Cipparrone, of Des Plaines, Ill.
