SMITH Funeral services for Mrs. Frank A. Smith, 78, widow of Frank A. Smith who for many years was general manager and editor and one of the owners of the Lake Charles American Press, were held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Rev. Angelo Cremaldi, assistant pastor, officiated. Burial was in Orange Grove Cemetery under direction of Hixson funeral home. Mrs. Smith, a resident of 1722 Enterprise Boulevard, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday in a Lake Charles hospital. She was a member of the Catholic church. Her husband died in 1942. She is survived by one son, Fred T. Smith of Lake Charles; one brother, Frank Rodriguez (sic) of Jennings; two sisters, Mrs. Adam Buller of Lake Charles and Mrs. Henry Witherwax of DeQuincy; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clyde Perkins, Harold Rodriguez (sic), Arthur Hayes, David L. Garrison, Allen J. Rhorer and A. B. Henshaw.
