Mrs. AURELEAN SONNIER Listed in the Lake Charles American Press Monday, June 5, 1944 Mrs. Aurelean Sonnier Dies Sunday Morning Mrs. Aurelean Sonnier, 56, died at St. Patrick’s Hospital Sunday morning at 8 o’clock after a long illness. Mrs. Sonnier was born in Church Point, and moved to Iowa, La., about 12 years ago and made her home there since that time. She was a member of the Baptist church and active in all church work as long as her health permitted. The funeral cortege will weave the family residence in Iowa at noon Monday for Church Point where services will be held at 3 o’clock. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery with the Burke Funeral home in charge. Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Emma Johnson, Church Point; and three sons, Alfred and Wilfred Claude of Iowa; Corporal Bobby Sonnier, now in England; five daughters, Mrs. Howard Miller, Mrs. Clifton Landry and Miss Elven Sonnier, Iowa; four grandchildren, two brothers, Andrew Johnson, Fenton, and Claude Johsnon, Church Point; three sisters, Mrs. L.C. Morgan, Hattiesburg, Miss.; Mrs. Dolly Jenkins, Ville Platte and Mrs. Maurice Laughlin, Church Point.
