Rev. E. P. Wilkins was to officiate at the services and burial was to be in Graceland Cemetery. A pipefitter, Mr. Spell was a native of Indian Bayou, and a veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sons, David and W. C. Spell of Lake Charles; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean and Miss Kathy Spell, both of Basile; one brother, Donnie Spell of Lake Charles, a half-brother, Carl Foreman of Lake Charles, and four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Simon of Rayne, Mrs. S. J. Keller of Basile, Mrs. Julian Spell and Mrs. Nolie Ezell, both of Lake Charles.
