Trouard Funeral services for Rufus J. Trouard, 63, of 2405 Griffin St., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Hammer Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. M.W. Merrilll, pastor of University Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Mr. Trouard died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday in a local hospital following a weekĄ¯s illness. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and was employed by the Public Works Department of the City of Lake Charles. He was a member of Local Union No. 1524 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Trouard, two sons, Jack and Raymond Trouard, one daughter, Mrs. H.H. Gates, and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Fontenot and Mrs. Clifton Bourque, all of Lake Charles; one stepson, James V. Carter of Dover, N.J., and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Nelda Young of Carlisle, P.A.
