Trouard Services Wednesday

Funeral services for Sterling J. Trouard, 76, of 607 Julius St. will be at 10 
a.m. Wednesday, March 6, from Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

The Revs. Irving DeBlanc, Pete Miller and Herman Ogea will officiate.  
Entombment will be in Consolata Mausoleum under direction of Johnson Funeral 
Home.

Visitation at the funeral home will begin at 2:30 p.m. today, March 5.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He died at 1:41 p.m. Monday in a local hospital.  

A native of Breaux Bridge, Mr. Trouard had lived in Lake Charles most of his 
life.

He owned and operated service stations in Lake Charles and was past president 
of the Service Station Association.  A charter member of the Lake Charles Lions 
Club, Mr. Trouard was past president of the Calcasieu/Lake Charles Associate 
for Retarded Citizens and a past president of the Landry Memorial High School 
Athletic Association.

A member of the Knights of Columbus since 1927, he was past grand knight of St. 
Margaret Council 3208, and past faithful navigator of Msgr. Hubert Cramers 
Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus.  He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven 
Catholic Church and past president of the church¡¯s St. Vincent de Paul Society.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nelwyn Trouard; one son, Jerry Trouard; a 
daughter, Karen Trouard, all of Lake Charles, three grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.

If friends wish, memorial donations may be made to the Calcasieu Hope Center, 
the family said.
