Carlton Veatch

Funeral services for Carlton Veatch, 89, of Ragley, will be at 2 p.m. today, 
July 28, in Creel Chapel in Bel.

Rev. Coredia Reynaud will officiate.  Burial will be in Creel Cemetery under 
direction of Hixson Funeral Home.

The body will be in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. today, July 28.

Mr. Veatch died at 9:55 a.m. Sunday in his residence.

A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, he was a retired owner and operator of an 
auto parts and supply store in Houston before moving to Ragley 17 years ago.  
He served in the U.S. Army 2nd Engineers Division during WWI and was a member 
of the VFW in Houston.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Veatch; one daughter, Mrs. Vesta Elman 
of Houston; one stepson, Huey V. Perkins, of Ragley; and three grandchildren.
