Welsh, whose father, Henry Welsh, deceased, owned all the land about the town of Welsh, in Calcasieu, and after whom it was named, died at Lake Charles last Wednesday night. He was a young man of bright promise, good habits, a good business man; and he was elected clerk of the court in his parish at the recent general election. His family, relatives and friends have our sympaties (sic) in their irreparable loss.
