Charles William Jackson was the son of James Hamilton Jackson and Eliza Haskell 
of Barwell County, SC. He married Caroline Sonnier, the daughter of Savenia 
Sonnier and Marguerite Anunciad Sonnier. Charles W. Jackson and Caroline 
Sonnier were the parents of Florence, Dora, Ward, Lucy, William C., Floyd, Ruby 
Lee and Pearl Jackson. The town of Jacksonville, Calcasieu Parish, LA was named 
for the Jackson family but the name of the town was later changed to Toomey.
