The two were identified as John D. Kulyk, 17, of Grayson and Carol Lynn Crain, 18, of Kelly. The driver of the other car, Patricia E. Green, 27, of West Monroe, suffered severe injuries and her passenger, Johnnie N. Truitt, 22, sustained minor injuries. Green was listed in serious condition at St. Francis Medical Center. The Kulyk vehicle was traveling south on Highway 165 when the pick-up he was driving hit almost head-on with the Green vehicle. The pick-up flipped onto it's top on the highway, spun around several times, and burst into flames. Both teenagers were pronounced dead at the scene. Green's car spunoff the road into a ditch about 150 yards from the pick-up. Both teenagers were recent graduates of Caldwell Parish High School. Funeral Services for Carol Crain were held on Monday at Old Bethel Baptist Church and services for John Kulyk were held on Tuesday at the Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
