Don Wright and Rev. James Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. Mr. McClanahan was born on November 22, 1911 in Hebert to the union of Ike and Laura Burns McClanahan and died Monday, February 16, 2004 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. He was a retired farmer and cattleman. He was also a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife: Inez McClanahan and his daughter: Eleanor Tillman. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Wendy McClanahan of Grayson, his daughter: Dorothy Moore of Columbia, his daughter and son-in-law: Elaine and David Vestal of West Monroe, his special granddaughter: Charlotte West and her husband: Steve of Deville, his step-son: Henry Watson of Mobile, Al., his brother: Armon Glasco of Winnsboro, his sister: Elzalene Whittington of Monroe, six grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Don McClanahan, Jon McClanahan, Sonny McClanahan, Issac McClanahan, Dan McClanahan, Allen Maxwell, Robert Duncan and Roger Murphy. Honorary pallbearers are Shannon Franklin, Steve May, Johnny Brown, Jim Washam and Iley Evans. Visitation will be at Bethany Baptist Church until time of services.
