All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Obituary: Alma Lafferty Stamper June 6, 2004 Services for Alma Lafferty Stamper, age 91, of Grayson will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 6, 2004 from the Clarks Assembly of God Church in Clarks with Rev. Troy Patrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery west of Grayson. Mrs. Stamper was born on August 27, 1912 to the union of Martin Benjamin and Mollie Wanona Mayo Lafferty and died Friday, June 4, 2004 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clarks Assembly of God Church where she was a faithful member until her health declined. She loved her church and church family. She lived most of her life in Rio Dell, California and moved back to Caldwell Parish in 1971. She was preceded in death by her husband: Nathan Alon Stamper and her daughter: Rosa Nell Stamper. She is survived by her neices and nephews: Christine Matson and Gloria Bowles both of Eureka, Ca., Ramona Davis and Coloma Lafferty both of Houston, Deanie Harmon of Yuba City, Ca., G.W. Finley of Rio Dell, Ca., Evelyn Berry, Joyce Washer and Bonnie White all of Grayson, C. R. Stamper of Tioga, W.O. Stamper of Olla and C. L. Stamper of Natchitoches. Pallbearers will be Miller White, Cliff White, Johnny Hester, Ricky Ray, Richard Copeland and Scott Copeland.
