Obituary of Audy Lea May Peterson
June 16, 2003

Services for Audy Lea May Peterson, age 78, of Columbia will be held
at 11 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2003 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home
in Columbia with Rev. Eric Harriman officiating.  Glenn Meredith will 
deliver the obituary and Max Shores will deliver the eulogy.  Interment 
will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson.

Mrs. Peterson was born in Cottonplant, La. on December 30, 1924 to the
union of Ervin Willie and Lois Fitzgerald May and died Friday, June 13, 
2003 at her residence after a brief illness.

She was a retired lunchroom supervisor with Columbia Elementery School.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Columbia and was
also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #147 in Columbia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Hurshel Peterson
and her sister: Willie Grace Zehner.

Survivors include her son: Donald Peterson of Columbia, her daughter 
and son-in-law: Patsy Lynn and Archie Wyant of Lawrenceville, Georgia, her 
grand children: Heather Dawn Wyant Stafford, Mathew Hunter Wyant, Patty 
Darlene Wyant, Dewayne H. Peterson, Audie Lynn Peterson and Leslie Drake 
Peterson, and her great-grandchild: Sierra Alexis Stafford.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Barrett, Monty Adams, Jr., John Carroll, 
Lelon Kenney, Glenn Meredith, Max Shores and Dennis Jacobson.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 
a.m. until time of services at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 Hwy 165, Columbia, 
La.
