Brown, in the 56th year of her age. Deceased was stricken here several weeks ago, and on Saturday, January 18, 1913, was carried to New Orleans for an operation where the best of medical skill could be obtained, but without avail. Deceased was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, a devoted wife and a loving and affectionate mother, and her influence for good will be ever present with those who knew her. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church here, and were conducted by Rev. Thompson. Interment was made in Columbia cemetery. Deceased is survived by a heartbroken husband, two daughters, Mrs. F. H. Mecom of Clarks, and Mrs. W. M. Walker and two sons of this town.
