Obituary of Priscilla Benson Banks

Services for Priscilla Benson Banks, age 94 of Columbia will be held 
at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2005 from the chapel of Riser Funeral 
Home in Columbia with Rev. Robert C. Hooper, III, Rev. Howard Hudson 
and Rev. Sammy Hargrove officiating.  Interment will follow in the 
Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson.
    
Mrs. Banks was born in Caldwell Parish on June 24, 1910 to the union of 
Charles Augusta and Lucy Laird Benson and died Sunday, January 2, 2005 
at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia.
    
She was a homemaker and a member of the Grayson United Methodist Church.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years: James 
M. Banks.
    
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Lucy and Tom Welch of Mineola, 
TX, her granddaughters: Charlotte Long Hughes of Dallas, TX and Priscilla 
Long Hooper and her husband: Robert C. Hooper of West Haven, CT., her great-
grandchildren: Rob Hooper, Henry Hooper, Maison Hooper and Paige Hughes and 
several nieces and nephews.
    
Pallbearers will be Rob Hooper, Wilbur Dale, Buddy Gill, David Shell, Marshall 
Wooten and Glen Hargrove.
    
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grayson United Methodist 
Church Building Fund.
