August 6, 1970

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. Saturday for Mrs. Maggie Barfield, 65, 
of 1502 S. 9th Street, Monroe, in the Magnolia Baptist Church near 
Winnsboro with the Rev. L. E. Traxler officiating.  Burial was in Magnolia 
Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mrs. Barfield died on Thursday at Caldwell Hospital in Columbia and Mrs. G. 
A. Holmes of Houston, Tex.; four brothers, Frank White of Shreveport, 
Robert White of Jonesville, M. C. White of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Inze 
McClellan of Monroe and J. C. Cockerham of Shreveport, 12 grandchildren and 
five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Orville Renfro, W. W. Hudson, Harmon Blaird, Lee Searcy, 
Aubrey Browder, W. L. Browder and Earl Polk.
