All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Obituary of Huey Baum Services for Huey Baum, age 64, of Grayson will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 18, 2004 from the Old Bethel Baptist Church west of Clarks with Rev. James Carson, Rev. Keith Thomas and Rev. Benton Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Baum was born in Olla on March 7, 1940 to the union of Thomas and Rose Leavins Baum and died Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. He was a retired chief engineer with Canal Barge Company and a member of the Old Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Bryan Baum and his brothers, R.B. Baum, Calvin Baum and Houston Baum. Huey will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren were very special to him and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved his Lord and Saviour, his church and church family. Survivors include his wife: Joyce Mayes Baum, his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Tracey Pauley, his daughter-in-law, Cheryl Minniger and her husband, Richard; his grandchildren, Stuart Baum, Zachary Baum, Spencer Baum, Brandon Pauley and his wife, Katie, Derek Pauley and Logan Pauley all of Grayson; his brothers: Carl Baum and his wife, Billie of Columbia, James Baum and his wife, Betty of Clarks, Duey Baum and his wife, Jean of Olla, Archie Baum and his wife, Jean of Olla and G.A. Baum and his wife, Hazel of Riverside, TX and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Gary Holmes, Lynn Holmes, Jimmy Ray Busby, Huey P. Busby, Kevin Thompson, Larry Taylor, Elbert Lee Pauley and Terry Pauley. Honorary pallbearers are the Old Bethel Men's Sunday School Class. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of services at the Old Bethel Baptist Church. Any planned memorials may be made to the Old Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund.
