Shane Duke and Rev. Chuck Stapleton officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery west of Grayson. Mrs. Harris was born on December 13, 1911 in Ruston to the union of Dan and Roxie Pye Snipe and died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a quilter. She was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband: George Harris of Columbia, her sons: Carson Linton of Baker, Pirl Linton of Clarks and Donnie Harris of Baker, her daughters: Jean Dunn of Columbia, Ruth Tharp of Monroe, Connie Smith of West Monroe, Hattie Strickland of Jefferson, Georgia and Barbara Ferrington of Columbia, her brothers: Ed Snipe of Ruston and Johnny Snipe of Shreveport and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
