The Caldwell Watchman, May 30, 1974
Funeral services for Cary Eugene Claunch, 96, of Clarks were held in the 
chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia with the Rev. Jim Love 
officiating. Burial was in Little Star Cemetery. Mr. Claunch died Friday in 
the Caldwell Hospital and Clinic after a long illness. Mr. Claunch was a 
native of the Little Star community east of Kelly, but had been living in 
Clarks for several years. He served a short time on the Caldwell Parish Police 
Jury, being appointed that position upon the death of the late Perry Claunch, 
representing old Ward 3.


Additional Comments:
Mr Claunch was married to (1) Clara M. UNKNOWN, who is also buried in Little 
Star Cemetery, and (2) Ethel L. MCBROOM LIZENBY, who is buried in Mulhearn 
Memorial, Monroe LA.
